Mailbox Monday: February 7

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists!

Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ The Printed Page,
is on a blog tour! This month's host is:

Here's what came for review:

Zan-Gah: A Prehistoric Adventure   Zan-Gah and the Beautiful Country

From Bonnie at Earthshaker Books, and they're signed, too! Thanks, Bonnie! I've been curious about these since seeing them on a few other blogs with some good reviews. Here's the description for Zan-Gah: A Prehistoric Adventure:

Pressed by love for his brother and a bad conscience, Zan-Gah undertakes a quest which leads to captivity, conflict, love, and triumph. In three years Zan-Gah passes from an uncertain boyhood to a tried and proven manhood and a role of leadership among his people.

The Arrow ChestFrom Premier Virtual Author Book Tours for participation in an upcoming blog tour:

London, 1876. The painter Amos Roselli is in love with his life-long friend and model, the beautiful Daphne - and she with him - until one day she is discovered by another man, a powerful and wealthy industrialist. What will happen when Daphne realises she has sacrificed her happiness to a loveless marriage? What will happen when the artist realises he has lost his most cherished source of inspiration? And how will they negotiate the ever-increasing frequency of strange and bizarre events that seem to be driving them inexorably towards self-destruction?

And I snapped up these free Nookbooks at barnesandnoble.com:

The Healer's Apprentice  Kiss Me Deadly (Harlequin Nocturne)  Daughter of Joy (Brides of Culdee Creek, Book 1)

What did you get this week?
I'd love it if you'd leave a comment with a link to your Mailbox!

  2. I have had the Zan-Gah books on my TBR stack since last summer. Since they are already published, they keep getting covered up by review books that will be releasing soon. I will get to them someday though. My mailboxes are here and here. Happy reading!

  6. Great Mailbox! The Arrow Chest looks very good as does the Healer's Apprentice! We received the Zan Gah books to read and review, and Bebe Boy James would have snatched them up right then if I didn't point out that he already had THREE books going! They DO seem like we will enjoy them too! Enjoy all of your new reads!

  8. Hi Lady Q,

You have a very full mailbox there this week.

Not all of your acquisitions would be my choice of reading, but I love the sound of 'The Arrow Chest', very dark and sinister.

'The Healer's Apprentice' also has a great sounding synopsis and might well make it's way onto my wish list.

  10. Those are certainly different - don't think I've read anything that's considered "pre-historic".
