Teaser Tuesday: The Raven Queen

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two "teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! Share the title & author, too, so that others can add the book to their TBR Lists!

This week my teaser comes from The Raven Queen by Jules Watson, a magical retelling of the Irish legend of Maeve, the warrior queen, that has a great mix of fantasy, history, and romance. Maeve was a great heroine and I loved it! I'm participating in a blog tour this week, so be sure to stop by tomorrow for my review and a chance to win a copy of the book!  Here's a true teaser, the first two lines of the book:

The Raven QueenMaeve risked a glance behind her.
By now her husband would know she had run.

PS I have my fingers and toes crossed that you get the Linen Queen... I did an all nighter for that one and she surpassed my expectations.. Think Yellow House and Voila it's love all over again.
