Quick Review: Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
Mercy Thompson's sexy next-door neighbor is a werewolf. She's tinkering with a VW bus at her mechanic shop that happens to belong to a vampire. But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself...and her connection to the world of things that go bump in the night is about to get her into a whole lot of trouble.
My Thoughts:
I struggled to finish this one. I actually really liked Mercy, but the book was like one big backstory info dumping ground, the fae world hierarchy was very complicated, and there were so many characters I kept losing track of who was who. And zero romance, although a possible love triangle develops at the end for future installments and there was a nice hint that Mercy may be more than she thinks she is and I would like to see how that plays out. I know this series has a ton of fans, but I don't know if I'll get around to reading the next book. Are you a fan of this series? Help me decide if I should keep reading!

I think you should give book 2 a try. If you still don't like it then I would say it probably just isn't the series for you...:) I personally enjoy the series..:) Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI had heard great things about this series, but was a bit underwhelmed by this book. I do intend to keep on reading the series eventually, although I have no idea when that will be.
