Teaser Tuesday: Hunger

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two "teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! Share the title & author, too, so that others can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

This week my teaser comes from Hunger, which I downloaded from NetGalley. This book has an interesting premise: How will an anorexic seventeen-year-old girl from the suburbs fare as Famine, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?  And as I am just starting this book, this is a true teaser for both you and me. From page 8:

HungerLisa just didn't want to leave a mess. Even if she had overdosed, as she had originally planned, she would have died neatly in her own bed. Lisa tried her best to be considerate.
