Happy New Year & Reading Resolutions

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

From my favorite travel destination:
Charleston, South Carolina!
There's just something about a palm tree with Christmas lights on it . . .

I am really looking forward to 2012--I have high expectations for an exciting and rewarding year and I wish the same for all of you!

Last year I resolved to read 150 books, and I did! I read 167. This year I'll shoot for 168. And I've been seduced away from historical fiction by YA paranormals and fantasies, so I'm aiming to bring more balance to my reading diet by getting back into my beloved histfic. How about you? Do you have any reading resolutions?

  1. Happy New Year! :) I plan to read more and to read more outside of my genre.

  3. I'm the opposite for 2011. Most of what I read was historical fiction and I only read 1 classic for all of last year so I am hoping to tackle a few more outside of HF this year. Good luck reaching your reading goal this year! :)

  5. Happy New Year, Jenny!

My main reading goal for 2012 is to tackle my massive TBR pile.

  7. You had a great year, reading-wise. My only resolution is to pull back on review copies, work through the backlog, and read more of my own books. Wishing you all the best in 2012!
