Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. (Library books don’t count, but eBooks & audiobooks do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists!
Mailbox Monday, created by Marcia @ A Girl and Her Books, is on a blog tour!
This month's host is The Bluestocking Guide.
My local Joseph-Beth Booksellers has been sold to Books-a-Million (yay!), and is liquidating their inventory before BAM takes over. By the time I got there the store was pretty picked over, but I did manage to find a few to add to my shelves!
I've already devoured The Dead Travel Fast (ya'll know I love her Lady Julia Grey series), and it was very good. Have you read any of the books I picked up this week?
If so, I'd love to know what you thought of them!

Great mailbox!
ReplyDeleteI've read a few of the books you received this week, with mixed reviews. I really enjoyed The Secret History of the Pink Carnation and The Dead Travel Fast, and I liked Within The Hollow Crown but I disliked The Wolves of Andover. I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on them once you finish.
Lots of goodies! I love Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series -- they're all really good, so get started on The Secret History of the Pink Carnation and I think you'll be hooked! I enjoyed The Dead Travel Fast (I'm a big fan of Raybourn) but it's not as good as Lady Julia/Brisbane. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIts the Deanna Raybourn that I am envious over!
ReplyDeleteI have got to try Deanna Raybourn! I have a couple of her books on my TBR mountain. I read The Secret History of the Pink Carnation and liked it so much I bought the rest of the series. Unfortunately, I got distracted and haven't had a chance to read them yet.
ReplyDeleteMy mailboxes are here and here. Happy reading!
Love it when they try to sell off at a bargain rate... life is good and your mailbox is reaping the rewards for summer time reading :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy girl :)
Great mailbox :D I would love to go crazy like that
ReplyDeleteOh, lots of great books! I really enjoyed The Highest Stakes. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, but they do look good. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHere's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
Those look like great finds. I have Within the Hollow Crown on my shelf waiting for me. It sounded so good I had to buy it but now I need to find time to read it. Enjoy the pile!
ReplyDeleteGreat group of books! I have always wanted to read The Wolves of Andover.
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Wolves of Andover. I hope you enjoy all your reads!
ReplyDeleteI love books that are at a discount! I don't feel so guilty buying them! Enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteI loved THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE PINK CARNATION. I also love Deanna Raybourn, but that one isn't in the Lady Julia series. Hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a mailbox! Hope you enjoy those steamy reads. ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like some good books. I have the first Lady Julia Grey book but haven't read it yet. Enjoy all your new books.
